Boys Minor Recap

A three-way tie atop the Boys Minor standings greets us after day one, as Central, Williams, and Mariner all escape the first slate of games unscathed. 

Mariner scored five goals in the second half en route to its 6-2 win over Kellogg, with Brody Dustin, Noah Urness and Danny Nelson carrying the scoring torch. Dustin totaled four points with a goal and three assists, while Urness and Nelson chipped in with three points each. Urness scored twice and assisted once, with Nelson reversing those numbers with one goal and two helpers. 

Central thumped West 7-2 in the nightcap behind a five-goal first half and paced statistically by Thomas Gunderson with a goal and three assists and Benny Miller's two goals. Brendan McMorrow, Barrett Dexheimer, Drew Roelofs, and Will Zellers all finished with two points for Central. 

Williams snuck past West 3-2 on the expanded ice on Bloomington Ice Garden's Rink 3 to start the day in the Boys Minor division.
