Both Kellogg and Mariner emerge from the first day of competition with a 1-0 record and at the top of the standings, with the Chargers of Kellogg slipping past West 4-2 and the Dolphins of Mariner squeaking past Central 2-0. 

Both Ellah Boerger and Abigail Chamernick recorded two points for Kellogg in its win over West, with Boerger scoring once and tacking on an assist and Chamernick handing out two assists. 

Lauren Zawoyski and Estella Retrum each scored once for Mariner in its win over Central, with solid team defense and strong goaltending leading the Dolphins to a shutout. 

Central earned a shootout win over Williams in the division's first game of the day, with Madalyn Hulter and Kate Johnson pacing the team with one goal and one assist each.
